Nick Jonas has been cast as Davy Prentiss Jr. a young solider in Mayor Prentiss’ army. Mayor Prentiss’ will be played by Mads Mikkelson. Jonas will be working opposite Tom Holland who will play Todd Hewitt, Davy’s longtime rival. Daisy Ridley will play a mysterious girl who may be the key to unraveling the dystopian world.

“The story takes place on a colony planet where almost all women have been killed by a virus and all living creatures are struck by The Noise, a virus that inflicts immersive visions of ones’ every thought. The cacophony drives many mad until a young man (Holland) makes a silent discovery: There is a girl (Ridley) who may be the key to unlocking the New World’s many layered secrets.”

Jonas recently joined the acting game. He starred in Sundance hit Goat, and will be seen in this Decembers Jumanji remake.

Lionsgate may be vying for a new trilogy with Chaos Walking, they odds are in their favour with this cast.

Doug Liman will be directing the film, which was scripted by author Patrick Ness (A Monster Calls), Lindsey Beer, Gary Spinelli, John Lee Hancock, and Charlie Kaufman.

Lionsgate has slated the film for March 1st 2019.
