Streaming service Netflix, announced on Thursday that the female-led wrestling series, GLOW will get a second season. The show which revolves around a group of women who make up the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW) will return for another 10 episodes.

GLOW was inspired by the syndicated series of the same name which aired in the 1980s and tells the story of actresses-turned-wrestlers who create the very first all-women wrestling show.

The Netflix Original series was co-created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch and executive produced by Orange is the New Black creator, Jenji Kohan.

The series stars Alison Brie, Sydelle Noel, Betty Gilpin, Jackie Tohn, Sunita Mani, Britney Young, Kia Stevens and Marc Maron.

The comedy series premiered on Netflix June 23 and was met with great reviews from critics and fans alike. Currently, the show is ‘certified fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes with a 95% critic rating and an 89% audience score.

  1. Dope….this show was pretty good…I remember watching the real thing when I was kid…it’s dope that they made a show loosely based on it.
