NBC To Reboot ‘The Munsters’ Into A Comedy About “Hipster Brooklyn”

The Munsters, a 60’s American sitcom which played on Horror tropes and characters, will be receiving a second reboot treatment since the original television series.

Seth Meyers, the host of NBC talk show Late Night With Seth Meyers, and Jill Kargman, creator of Odd Mom Out, will take on the renowned family-oriented franchise. Although the description of the new series seems to only be related to the series by name, the series will focus on an offbeat family determined to stay true to themselves as they struggle to fit in hipster Brooklyn.

Kargman will pen the script while Seth Meyers will executive producer the series, this is not the first time the franchise has received some form of relaunch as the first was Mockingbird Lane, which unfortunately bombed due to it’s budget and, from the sounds of it, so will this new one.
