For its next season, producers have announced the new names of the cast: Daniel Sharman (Teen Wolf, Fear the Walking Dead) will play the lead role, a young Lorenzo the Magnificent, Bradley James (Merlin) as his brother Guillermo, Julia Sands (Gotham) as their father Piero, and Sebastian de Souza (Skins) as their friend, Sandro Boticelli.

This new season will take place 20 years after the events of the first, where Lorenzo (Sherman), the nephew of Richard Madden’s character, is forced to take over the family bank after discovering his father had mismanaged it.

As Lorenzo, his brother (James), and Botticelli (de Souza) try to make Florence the financial and cultural center of Italy, they’ll have face off the Pazzi family, lead by Jacopo Pazzi, played by Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings) and Pope Sixtus IV, played by Raoul Bova (Alien vs. Predator).

Other members of the cast include Lorenzo’s mother, played by Sarah Parish (The Holiday) and his mistress, interpreted by Alessandra Mastronardi (Master of None).

  1. Will definitely catch up on this show now for Daniel. But why do you list Teen Wolf as Sharman’s credit? He hasn’t been on Teen Wolf since 2014. He is currently a regular on Fear the Walking Dead. This current main role is surely more relevant than a role 3 years ago…

    • Sorry, I wasn’t aware he was in Fear of the Walking Dead, the article has been updated tho. Thanks for letting me know.
