Since the moment it was announced that Cable would be in Deadpool 2, fans have wondered how the film would achieve the character’s look.

Once Josh Brolin was cast as the time traveling mutant, everyone became even more intrigued.

Well now, thanks to some set photos and Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, we’re getting a full look at Brolin in character, and the overwhelming response has been positive.

Just Jared posted set photos featuring Brolin in costume, carrying his signature rifle.

Brolin and his stunt doubles are wearing a costume that hints that the film may borrow from The Messiah Complex. The story encompasses the entire X-Men universe fighting over baby Hope Summers.

Of course this is all speculation, since the X-Men films have a history of changing comic stories to suit the movies.
