Evangeline Lilly Starts Filming ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’
With Hope van Dyne set to suit up as The Wasp on the upcoming Ant-Man sequel, actress Evangeline Lilly has gotten pumped up to become the classic hero.
Lilly tweeted a photo of herself showing off her very cut arms with the caption “#Wasp ready arms. They better be. First official day of shooting for me tomorrow!”

In the mid credits scene of Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) reveals a Wasp suit he and his wife Janet were working on. He then passes the suit on to Hope so she can become the new Wasp.
At the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios announced that Michelle Pfeiffer would be joining Ant-Man and The Wasp as Janet Van Dyne.
In the first film Hank said that she became trapped in the quantum realm after sacrificing herself to diffuse a missile.
As usual Marvel’s official synopsis doesn’t reveal anything about the plot or who the heroes may actually be fighting.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
Scott Lang can be seen with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018.
Director Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, David Dastalmachian and T.I. are joined by newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer, Walton Goggins, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Laurence Fishburne when Ant-Man and The Wasp crawls into theaters July 6, 2018.
