Director James Gunn Teases Adam Warlock’s Arrival to MCU

Any good Marvel fan knows the movie doesn’t end until you’ve witnessed a post-credits scene. The one of the many scenes following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teased a little Marvel hero named Adam Warlock.

Since his on-screen appearance, fans have been speculating on where and when the famed cosmic being would finally show up in a MCU feature film.

Guardians writer and director James Gunn made a statement, encouraging fans to be patient, since Adam Warlock has not been confirmed to appear anytime soon.

During his recent Facebook Q&A, Gunn was asked about Warlock’s appearance and if we can expect him in Vol. 3. Gunn replied, shutting down rumors, saying that Vol. 3 is too early in development to even confirm if he is in the film.

Technically, we aren’t taking that as a formal no, just him saying the film is barely on its feet to be making promises to awaiting audiences. It was said that Adam was written out of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War, so we suspect that although Gunn and Marvel allowed us a little taste, they are being quite cautious when trying to decipher the best possible debut for Warlock himself.

Are you impatiently awaiting more of Adam Warlock or do you think their decision to elongate his introduction is better for the MCU? Let us know!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital on August 22.
