Mr. Robot Season 3 Trailer Brings Democracy to the USA
With roughly two months to go until the Mr. Robot Season 3 premiere, USA has finally unveiled the season’s first trailer. The lead up wasn’t without its cryptic messages and arduous puzzles, though.

As expected, there’s not much to gleam about which direction Season 3 will take. Narrating the trailer is a voice, Elliot’s, Mr. Robot’s, or someone else’s, that recites the lyrics to the song “Democracy” by Leonard Cohen. What the words specifically refer to in regards to the show remains to be seen, and it isn’t easy to discern given the content of the teaser.
What can be determined is that Elliot is very much alive, as is Mr. Robot; Grace isn’t doing too well, and Agent DiPierro is on the hunt. BD Wong’s Whiterose receives screen time, as well. Wong’s role this season will be especially of note, since he is now a series regular.
The show’s third run has also added a new cast member in Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire), playing the mysterious Irving, who can also be spotted in the trailer. How he’ll play into things will likely remain secret until the show returns, but for now he’s being described as “a laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman” (via THR). Yeah, he’s probably not a car salesman.
