‘Annihilation’ Gets February 2018 Release Date
Paramount has finally set a release date for the highly anticipated science-fiction thriller, Annihilation. The Alex Garland film will be released February 23rd 2018, the spot previously held by Pacific Rim: Uprising.

The film stars Natalie Portman, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. OscarIsaac will also appear in the film as Portman’s husband.
The film, based on Jeff VanderMeer’s novel, is directed by Alex Garland from his own script. The story follows a biologist, played by Portman, who embarks on a four-person expedition into a territory cut off from civilization while searching for clues about her husband’s disappearance. While there, she must deal with a contamination, vanishing colleagues, a deadly animal, and a creature known as the Crawler.
Garland’s 2014 flick Ex Machina received an Academy Award nomination in the best original screenplay. This is his second feature film, which he also wrote.
February will also be the home to Paramount’s Untitled Cloverfield film, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo, this film will be released on February 2nd.
