Reportedly, ‘The Flash’ Season 4 Won’t Feature a Speedster Villain
Almost every main villain in The Flash has been a speedster, not counting those for certain episodes like Grodd or Killer Frost. Back in season one, Barry had to face his mortal nemesis: Reverse Flash who, among other things, was the responsible for his mother’s death. In season two, we saw Barry get betrayed (again) by “Jay Garrick” who in fact was Hunter Zolomon, aka Zoom, and in season three we saw him fight (once more) a speedster, this time in the form of Savitar, the Good of Speed.
Now, in its fourth season, we might see a change.
According to Kevin Yeoman, member of the TCA (the Television Critics Association press tour, where companies announce news about their upcoming shows), it was announced during The CW’s panel that the series is “likely done with speedster villains. S4 will find the lightness that was in the first two seasons.”
It’s been said, according to CBR and Den of Geek, that in season 4, The Thinker, will be the main meta-human against The Flash. He is reported to be the “fastest mind alive” who will devise an intricate plan to fix all that he deems wrong with humanity. Clifford DeVoe, aka The Thinker, will be played by Neil Sandilands in The Flash’s upcoming season.
What do you think about this news? Would you like to see once more a speedster against Barry? Or a new villain is the better option?
