Avengers: Infinity War will be Marvel Studios’ 19th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is a film 10 years in the making, featuring a massive team up of The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange and Black Panther.

Among the heroes fighting the Mad Titan Thanos is Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.

Since Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that there would be death among the heroes, fans have speculated that Hawkeye might be a goner.

However, Renner may have dispelled that rumor in an interview with Collider last week.

At the time, the actor said that he was set to start filming Avengers 4 in “Ten days… Two weeks. Something like that.”

Of course in the comic book world characters often die then reappear in dreams and flashbacks, so Renner’s appearance in Avengers 4 doesn’t really reveal anything about Hawkeye’s fate in Infinity War.

Opening May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland and the rest of the MCU.

Avengers 4 is scheduled to hit theaters May 3, 2019.

Are you relieved to know Hawkeye may not die in Infinity War?
