‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Hires a New Writer

Star Wars: Episode 9 directed by Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) has just hired a new writer to improve the script for the final episode in Disney’s Star Wars trilogy. Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly wrote the initial draft for the script. However, it seems they have decided they now need the genius of British writer Jack Thorne. Having wrote the stage play for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Thorne has experience in handling a large ensemble of actors in a blockbuster franchise which may come in useful writing for Star Wars. Thorne also wrote the upcoming movie Wonder (2017) starring Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay.

Star Wars: Episode 9 is expected to continue the adventures of Daisy Ridley and John Boyega as Rey and Finn, dependant on whatever unfolds in Episode 8 later this year.
