Ron Perlman Won’t Cameo in ‘Hellboy’ Reboot

With the news that a Hellboy reboot is happening, fans of the Guillermo Del Toro films have wondered if any of the original cast members will be involved.

Hellboy himself Ron Perlman put the questions to rest on Twitter. A fan asked if he would cameo in the new film, noting it wouldn’t be the same without him.

Perlman responded with “when Hellboy freezes over.”

Guess that answers that.

Lest you think Perlman is bitter about the new film, he has wished new Hellboy David Harbour (Stranger Things) good luck.

Perlman starred in 2004’s Hellboy and 2008’s Hellboy: The Golden Army. Del Toro was planning a third film, but it never quite got off the ground.

Perlman can currently be heard in the Netflix animated series Trollhunters.

Directed by Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones, Westworld) and starring David Harbour and Ian McShane, Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen is scheduled to hit theaters in 2018.
