‘Wonder Woman’ Passes ‘Deadpool’ In Worldwide Box Office Earnings
Just a few weeks ago, Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the Deadpool crew were congratulating Wonder Woman for surpassing their domestic box office tally. Now, it seems as though more congratulations are in order.
The Princess of Themyscira has beaten Deadpool once again, this time in global box office earnings. To-date Wonder Woman has raked in $786 million globally, passing the $783.1 million that Deadpool pulled in last year.
Wonder Woman has the best box office hold of any superhero film over the last fifteen years and continues to rake in the dough despite being in theaters for two months. In fact, this past weekend it took in another $3.34 million to remain in the top 10.

While Wonder Woman continues to be a success and recently became the biggest film in North America so far this summer, it is no wonder why a sequel was confirmed at San Diego Comic Con last week.
With reports of Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins already writing the treatment for the sequel, it was confirmed at SDCC that Johns has commenced writing the script for Wonder Woman 2. Patty Jenkins returning to direct still hasn’t been announced, but my guess is it’s just a matter of time.
It will be interesting to see how much bigger the box office for Wonder Woman will get in the coming weeks, especially since the film is slated for release in Japan this month.
Be sure to check out Wonder Woman in theaters if you haven’t already. If you already have, Diana Prince will be back on the big screen in Justice League on November 17, 2017!
