J.R. Ramirez Joins ‘Jessica Jones’ Season Two

Looks like Jessica Jones is getting a new neighbor in season two. Power star J.R. Ramirez will join the Marvel Netflix series as Jessica’s new building superintendent Oscar.

Oscar is a single father whose son is instantly in love with Krysten Ritter’s Jessica. However, Oscar is understandably wary of people with powers.

Executive producer Melissa Rosenberg expressed her excitement about having Ramirez in the cast.

“J.R. is an incredible addition to our cast, bringing complex and subtle emotion and humor,” Rosenberg told ew.com. “He exudes warmth, edge and intelligence, and blends perfectly with our tone.”

Fans of superhero TV shows will recognize Ramirez as Arrow’s Ted Grant/Wildcat.

Jessica Jones will next be seen alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist and Mike Colter as Luke Cage in Marvel’s The Defenders when it premieres all eight episodes on Netflix Aug. 18.

Season two of Marvel’s Jessica Jones could premiere sometime in 2018.
