Eli Roth to Produce History of Horror Docuseries For AMC
Horror fans you are in for a treat! Director Eli Roth has signed on to produce a new docuseries for AMC’s new franchise, AMC Visionaries. The six-part series’s working title is History of Horror and, yep you guessed it, it’ll be about the history of the horror genre of media and how much its evolved over time.
Eli Roth is no stranger to the genre, making his with 2002’s Cabin Fever then going on to direct the popular torture-horror movies Hostel and Hostel: Part II. Entertainment Weekly caught up with Roth this weekend when the news was announced and he had this to say about the project:
“I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible series. For years, I’ve wanted to create a definitive ‘History of Horror,’ a living record of the genre with interviews from all the greats, old and new,”
said Roth. He went on to say:
“Sadly, we lose more of these masters every year and with them go their stories and experiences. This show will serve as a record for future generations — fans and filmmakers alike — to enjoy. I could not be prouder to create this with AMC.”
Any horror fans excited about this? I know I am! Let us know what you think, lit or nah.
The History of Horror docuseries is set to debut on AMC sometime in 2018!
