Frontrunners For Bond Directing Gig Revealed

Bond 25, an announcement that was so sudden and unexpected that it surprised us not only due to it being the next franchise installment but that the announcement came with a lack of information regarding creative talent.

But, fear no more weary travelers as the director shortlist for the film has been revealed via Deadline and is reporting that Yann Demange, David Mackenzie and Denis Villeneuve are those that producers are eyeing for the film. But, this does serve as both an odd but welcomed list of entertaining picks.

First, Yann Demange is probably the lesser-known out of the three as his filmography is loaded with a war film known as ’71 and sporadic episodes of relatively unknown television series.

Next, David McKenzie did the incredible film known as Hell or High Water which premiered on the big screen last year and has showcased the talent to take on a franchise as big as this.

Lastly, Denis Villeneuve is definitely the biggest star out of the trio as he did Arrival and is currently working on the Blade Runner 2049 and Dune remake.
A Bond film from any of these men would be outstanding and I can’t wait to see who the studio chooses.

What do you think? Who’s your choice to direct a Bond Film? Let us know in the comments below!
