Danielle Panabaker is Up for a ‘Sky High’ Sequel

12 years have passed since we first saw Sky High in theatres, and to this day remains in the minds of those who saw it as an underrated superhero film, full of laughs and superheroes, literally.

Sky High takes place in a Universe where superheroes are a thing and their children attend a secret school in the clouds (hence, Sky High). After arriving at the school, the kids are sorted by ability into “hero” or “sidekick” classes.

This is just a quick description of the movie, in fact is a lot more than that. But this article is not about praising the movie, (something we should do) but to talk about its potential sequel.

Last year, around October, it was announced that directors Michael McCullers and Walt Dohrn were working on Sky High 2.

The interview was about their recent film where they had work together, Trolls, and when asked if they were involved in another Dreamworks film (Shrek 5), Dohrn said “not yet” but they’d love to be. However, McCullers answer was more exciting:

“It’s between that and we’re working on a sequel to Sky High. We’ll see how that goes.”

Months passed and nothing more was said… until today when Danielle Panabaker, through Twitter, said she’s up for a Sky High sequel.

Disney has made no official announcement, but through the years there’s been some chatter and discussion through internet. For now, all we can do is to hope for a sequel for this amazing movie to come our way as soon as possible.

What do you think about this news? Would you like to see a Sky High sequel?
