Priyanka Chopra Developing Comedy Series For ABC
Priyanka Chopra has been capturing the hearts of people in the Bollywood sphere for a long time but ever since she’s made the transition in Hollywood, North American audiences has welcomed her with open arms. Her success in Hollywood shows as her show Quantico, where Chopra plays the lead role, is going into its third season. She also starred as the villain in the Hollywood remake of Baywatch based on the classic TV series of the same name.
Now Priyanka is expanding her resume on the Hollywood scene as she is in the process of developing a comedy series for ABC as reported by Variety. The single camera series is based on the real life of Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit and is said to follow the life of a former Bollywood star settling down in an American suburb with her bi-cultural family as she tries to bring her colorful lifestyle to an otherwise dull town.

Priyanka and Madhuri will be executive producing along with the Mark Gordon Company which also produces Quantico as well as other critically acclaimed shows such as Ray Donovan and Grey’s Anatomy. The pilot will be written by Bollywood writer Sri Rao. No premiere date has been announced thus far as the project is still currently in development but we will update you as more news about the project is released.
