Time is Broken in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Trailer #SDCC2017
The Legends never fails to somehow mess up the timeline. As expected, Season 3 will be no exception. Season 2’s final moments depicted the Waverider crashing into a time in which dinosaurs are freely roaming around a metropolis. That is exactly where the third season’s first look kicks off. Throughout the trailer, the Legends are seen mingling with carnies in a circus, raising suspicions about Rip Hunter (as they should), and supposedly plotting a stay aboard the Titanic that Stein isn’t particularly happy about. The team aboard the Waverider is also up against a new foe this season, one they don’t seem to be fully aware of themselves. In teasing said villain, mention is also made of Kuasa, a character with close ties to Vixen.
Because production began a few weeks ago, there isn’t too much The CW can show off. Therefore, a few of the scenes in the trailer are from Season 2. Another aspect of Season 2 that will appear in Season 3, which wasn’t shown in the trailer, are the returns of Arthur Darvill, Wentworth Miller, and Neal McDonough.

Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) will appear as series guest stars. How often the two will pop up remains to be seen. It could be anywhere from fairly frequent appearances to only starring a couple of times, as indicated by the way in which the Legion of Doom were featured last season. Also set to return is Neal McDonough (Damien Darhk), who will star as a series regular according to IGN.
The Season 3 synopsis is as follows:
“After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara (Caity Lotz) wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nick Heywood (Nick Zano), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.”
