Krypton, a television series which plans to explore the past genealogy and family tree of the one known as Kal-El/Superman has been further fleshed out by Geoff Johns at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The plot, which has been mainly unknown up to this point, is about a “conspiracy from the present which has travelled back in time to Krypton to prevent Superman’s legacy from ever happening.” This unknown conspiracy will involve “Adam Strange and Hawkwoman” who travel to Krypton in an attempt to try and “stop the conspiracy and save Superman’s legacy.”
Along with that, it has been confirmed that Superman-oriented villains such as Doomsday and Brainiac will appear on the show, the latter is something that executive producer Damian Kindler is excited about as the character “has a really deep and rich history. He is the nexus point between man and machine which is an incredibly real thing to talk about now.”
Johns also teased that “there are others from Earth on Krypton and as the series progresses, we’ll bring in some more classic DC characters.”
Sounds pretty cool, huh? What do you think about this new information? Are you excited for the show? Tell us in the comments below!
