Fans have been super excited to get more details on season three of Young Justice. Well the wait was finally over at this afternoon’s Young Justice Q&A panel at San Diego Comic Con.

Showrunners Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti and art director Phil Bourassa introduced new designs for the team.

They also said that the move from Cartoon Network to DC’s streaming service DC All Access allows them to examine more mature themes and stories for the teenage heroes. The group will take on meta-human trafficking in the new season, a topic which will surely make the young crimefighters grow up fast.

The audience got a big surprise when producers showed three new team members. Arrowette (Cissie King-Jones), new character Thirteen and Spoiler (Stephanie Brown).

Even with a full team photo and the introduction of new characters, there were questions about the location of Superboy, Aqualad, Artemis and Nightwing.

“We’re telling these stories in a DC Universe, which doesn’t mean that we will not see our early season character again,” co-creator Vietti told the audience, “but it’s important to show these characters in a growing DC Universe.”

This turned out to be true when the panel ended with an image of these characters in new black costumes, suggesting they may become a black-ops arm of the team.

Though no official release date has been announced yet, Young Justice: Outsiders is scheduled to premiere on DC All Access in 2018.

So how much has all this new info raised your excitement level for Young Justice season three?
