Jon Watts In Talks To Return For ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel
Jon Watts, the mastermind behind Cop Car, Clown and more recently the first MCU-driven Spider-Man film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is being courted for the second installment which is currently scheduled to release on July 5th, 2019.
This comes as no surprise as the director, with the first film, put out a product that was not only critically and generally-acclaimed but managed to scrounge up a half of a billion dollars via the global box office.
Now, what the film will pertain to is unknown, but we do have an understanding that Marvel wants to utilize villains that haven’t been on the big screen before, similar in vein to Vulture, and I personally hope (since the film is scheduled after Infinity War) that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will experience a form of PTSD due to the horrific events that happen via the hands of Thanos.
What do you guys think? Who do you want to see in the second installment? I personally hope Chameleon makes an appearance soon! Let us know in the comments down below.
