Before we start with this, I think a little warning is necessary: No, these two new books won’t revolve around the characters we grew up loving, nor the new ones presented in Fantastic Beasts or in the Cursed Child, a book I think most of us will like to forget.
This year commemorates the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone being published, and to celebrate Bloomsbury Publishing has announced the release of two new books that will make their official debut at the Harry Potter exhibition in the British Library this October.
The first book will be titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic, The Book of the Exhibition and it will give us more information about all the courses that were taught at Hogwarts, while the second book will be titled Harry Potter, A Journey Through a History of Magic, where we get a look at the world behind the spells, how some famous wizards and witches had used them over time along with tales of magical creatures.
Although it might not add to the story of Harry, it sounds pretty amazing to know more about the courses that were given at Hogwarts and the spells wizards used so frequently.
What do you think about this news? Would you prefer a book telling us what happened in those 19 years between the Battle of Hogwarts and The Cursed Child?
