DC To Release ‘Gotham City Garage’, Which Focuses On And Reimagines The Company’s Best Heroines

Gotham City Garage, a line of collectible statues which took DC Comics best female superheroes and revamped them as hardcore, tattoo-encased biker chicks.

Well, now the line (in similar vein to DC’s Bombshells) has received it’s own comic which is set in an alternate universe where Lex Luthor has turned Gotham City into a paradise which you can never leave known as The Garden. But, the heroes involved with the Gotham City Garage don’t take to kindly to Luthor’s ideology or newly-created locale and resist against government authority.

According to co-writer Collin Kelly, the book is “an anti-fascist statement for the open road, starring reimagined takes on DC’s greatest female characters through an outlaw lens. We’re bringing Big Barda, Steel (Natasha Irons), Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Silver Banshee, Hawkgirl and the first Kryptonian this world has ever seen – the mysterious girl named Kara Gordon – into a world of bikes, outlaws, and elaborate tattoos.”

The talent department for this book consists of artists Bryan Ching and Lynne Yoshii and writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing.

The book will debut digitally on August 16 and a printed version will make it’s way on an unspecified date in October.

What do you guys think about this new book? I personally love the idea as I’m also a big fan of the Bombshells series! Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below!
