Rey’s Still Missing From Star Wars Monopoly
Despite being the main character, fans are still waiting for Rey to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Monopoly by Hasbro.
In January of 2016, 8-year-old Annie Rose wrote a letter to Hasbro asking why Rey wasn’t available in the game, and reminding them that “girl’s matter!” Though Hasbro promised to include Rey within the game, it’s summer 2017 and she’s still nowhere to be found.

According to Julie Duffy, a spokesperson from Hasbro, the Rey token “is not available for sale in the U.S. due to insufficient interest.” Hasbro offered a new version with Rey available in the box, but according to reports from Hasbro, “retailers had ample inventory so they did not choose to sell the new version.”
Instead, fans that own the set can contact Hasbro customer service and wait for them to send a game piece. As of now, the pieces available in-box are young Luke Skywalker, Finn, Kylo Ren, and Darth Vader. The set is also missing Poe Dameron.

This isn’t the first time Rey’s gone straight-up missing in The Force Awakens merchandise. Some toy sets released in 2015 simply didn’t include her.
Hopefully, The Last Jedi toys will have all the characters available to play with. Do you think Hasbro and Disney will get it together next time around? Let us know in the comments.
