Avengers: Infinity War Has Officially wrapped production

The war against Thanos is about to begin.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War) announced on their Instagram account that Avengers: Infinity War has wrapped production, and Entertainment Weekly has confirmed the news, as reported by their website.

In the photo, we can see Joe Russo lying on the ground of the Pinewood Studios in Atlanta with the caption “One down”.  But they don’t have a lot of time to rest, since Avengers 4 (no official tittle yet) is shooting in the next couple of weeks.

As both films will work together as the “culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as started in May of 2008 with the release of Iron Man 1” (as said by Kevin Feige), both movies are being filmed at the same time.

Production for this film began on January 23, with one of the biggest casts a Marvel movie has to date, including Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), all The Avengers and The Guardians of the Galaxy.

When Marvel first announced their Phase 3 line-up, it was revealed that the next Avengers films will share the tittle Infinity War, named part 1 and part 2 respectively, but that changed abruptly, when Marvel announced that the third one will be called Avengers: Infinity War and the fourth one will remain untitled.

Nothing about the plot has been revealed, only that all Marvel heroes will unite against Thanos, who’s in search of the Infinity Stones.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited to see Marvel heroes take on Thanos?
