According to Deadline, actresses Lucy Fry (Vampire Academy) and Eiza González (Baby Driver) will be starring in a new drama film called Highway, directed and written by actress-turn-director Alexandra McGuinness (P.S I love you), who made her directorial debut with Lotus Eaters back in 2011. Actors Blake Berris (Breaking Bad) and Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor) also co-stars in the film.

 

The film tells the story of Heidi (Fry), a dinner waitress from a small town, when she goes to search her best friend and rodeo queen Jane (González) afters she’s gone missing. Jane was last seen meeting a mysterious man (Hartnett) and in her search, Heidi will encounter secrets and troubles that surround “the life on the road”.

Highway will count with Jacqueline Kerrin for Ripple World Pictures, Adam Stanhope and Graham Appleby for GCI Film as executive producers.

According to IMDb the film is currently under production and is set to premiere this September 9 in the US.
