Rumor Alert: ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Will Reportedly Take Place During the Cold War

With the confirmation that the treatment for Wonder Woman 2 is underway by Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns, it was only a matter of time before details for the sequel were shared.

According to a report from Screen Rant, Diana Prince will find herself in the midst of the Cold War for the second instalment of the DCEU film.

Patty Jenkins has not been confirmed to direct Wonder Woman 2, but she has expressed interest and is currently in talks with the studio.

It should be noted that The Wrap reached out to Warner Bros. about the report, but received no comment.

So, for now it is speculation but it would be interesting to see Wonder Woman in the 1980s, taking on the Soviets. This would also mean that Jenkins would have her hopes of bringing Diana to the United States of America fulfilled.

What do you think – would you like to see Diana taking on the Cold War? Be sure to sound off in the comment section below.

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, still continuing to pull in impressive numbers at the box office. If you haven’t had your fill of the Amazonian Princess, she will be on the big screen once again this year when Justice League hits theaters November 18.
