John Oliver to Play Zazu in Live Action Lion King
We haven’t heard much about Disney’s upcoming live action Lion King movie since news broke out that Billy Eichner & Seth Rogen were cast as Timon and Pumba. Now, we have a new update on casting in the movie. HBO’s John Oliver is set to join Lion King as everyone’s favorite over protective, royal advisor bird, Zazu.
Is it just me, or so far does just about all of the castmembers look eerily alike the cartoon counterparts they’ll be voicing? Joining Rogen and Eichner will be Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones returning to voice Mufasa and still no confirmation on whether or not Beyoncé will be lending her talents to the film as Nala. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Beyoncé should be voicing Sarabi instead of Nala!
What do you guys think of the casting so far? Are we here for it or nah? Sound off on Twitter and the comments.
