DC is tapping horror writers to fill an upcoming anthology for the release of a one-shot comic this Halloween. Featured within the 80-page spread will be tales from the DC Universe, all of which are new, horror-oriented stories. The anthology, entitled DC House of Horror, is set to include works from the following horror novelists: Brian Keene, Weston Ochse, Edward Lee, Mary SanGiovanni, Wrath James White, Nick Cutter, Ronald Malfi, and Bryan Smith.
The artists illustrating House of Horror are Rags Morales, Bilquis Evely, Howard Porter, Scott Kolins, and Dale Eaglesham. A teaser image of what to expect can be seen below:
Quick synopses for a few of the stories to feature are as follows:
“Martha Kent fights for her life against a creature from a spacecraft that lands in front of her farmhouse! A young woman is possessed by the spirit of a murderous Amazon warrior! The last surviving member of the Justice League faces down a horror beyond imagining!”
The first issue of the 80-page one-shot launches just in time for Halloween on October 25.
