“The Dark Tower” Drops New International Trailer
Based off the book series of the same name by Stephen King, The Dark Tower surrounds a man named Roland Deschain (played by Idris Elba) a gunslinger who has a mission to protect “The Dark Tower”, a giant statue that supports and protects all the realities. The film will not be an exact adaptaion of the book, instead taking bits and pieces from the series as a whole.
The trailer gives more insight into the universe which is great for people who haven’t read the books. It also helps strengthen the tone for the age-old rivalry between Roland and the Man In Black (Matthew McConaughey) while showing off the famous gunslinging techniques that King wrote about in the book. The trailer can be seen below.
The film is already expected to span a tv franchise and it is set to premiere in 2018 with Elba reprising his role as Roland.
