Truth be told, we’ve had a couple ‘first looks’ at this villain. However, I feel like this is the only one that should count before we actually see him moving in a trailer or the movie itself. The first glimpse was a deleted scene from Batman vs Superman, the second being Steppenwolf as a LEGO and finally, a fully fledged action figure that really gives a good look at what we can expect.

However, the Batman vs Superman Steppenwolf was criticized for not accurately depicting the character from the comics, largely due to its grotesque appearance and lack of colour. The Lego version alleviated these fears somewhat as it showed the character with its iconic red complementing its silver body armour.

And finally, what I consider the most likely likeness of the character, its action figure:

As you can see the character has changed drastically from its visual appearance in the deleted scenes of Batman vs Superman, which is probably why it was a deleted scene. Steppenwolf seems to have an actual face and looks quite menacing with his horned helmet. Personally, I would’ve liked to see some streaks of red run through the armour, but other than that I think it looks pretty great.

What do you think? Do you approve of this look?
