DC’s Next Animated Film is Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
None of DC’s acclaimed Elseworlds stories have been adapted to screen. Warner Bros. Animation is about enter uncharted territory, as Brian Augustyn’s Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is next in line to receive the animated movie treatment. The news comes courtesy of a special features list that’s to accompany Batman and Harley Quinn’s impending release later this summer. The special features, which were posted on Reddit (via CBR), tease Gotham by Gaslight with the following bullet point — “A Sneak Peek at DC Universe’s Next Animated Movie: Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.”
This isn’t the first time a DCAU film has been revealed in such a manner, and it likely won’t be the last. However, with the unintentional announcement comes a dearth of information. As such, nothing is known of a release date or the creative team behind the project.
