During the last couple of weeks there have been rumors floating around, courtesy of Omega Underground’s Christopher M, that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury will make an appearance in the Captain Marvel film, which has Brie Larson in the titular role.

Well, apparently it’s a rumor no more as Deadline has given confirmation that Samuel L. Jackson will indeed reprise his fan-favourite role in Marvel’s first female-led superhero film.

Deadline reports that Marvel refuses to give light on this news and given no contact.

The film, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, will make its way onto the silver screen on March 8, 2019 and has Brie Larson (Short Term 12) in the leading role.
