Jon Watts Is Open To Blade & Morbius Appearing In The Homecoming Sequel

Blade, a character who has a special place in both the hearts of comic book fans and the general audience due to a trilogy of films starring Wesley Snipes that stretched from 1998 to 2004.
During an interview with We Got This Covered, Jon Watts expressed his interest in Blade and a few villains for the upcoming sequel, the first being Chameleon:

“Yeah, Chameleon’s cool. I wonder is it that cool of an ability nowadays? Like, we’d have to come up with a way to make him to be more than just that. But Chameleon is great and he’s also one of the earlier day villains. I mainly focused on the bad villains as just a joke because there are so many really silly guys. Like Big Wheel. [laughs] So I’ve kind of done the wrong research so far in who the next villain could be. Swarm…”

The interviewer then decided to bring the villainous, vampiric Spider-Man adversary “Morbius” into the mix, to which Jon gave an interesting response that involved everyone’s favorite Daywalker:

“The tone of the character is pretty dark, but the vampire/Marvel Universe thing is pretty cool. Maybe we could get Blade to show up, too? That’d be neat.”
What do you guys think? Do you want to see Blade in the MCU? It does seem possible since Marvel is now open to R-Rated films in their universe. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
