‘Battlestar Galactica’ Announces SDCC Reunion Panel

We’re just two weeks out from San Diego Comic-Con and the scheduling announcements are really starting to roll in.

One of the coolest panels to be confirmed and sure to be one of the most popular is the reunion of the cast and creators of Battlestar Galactica.

The panel is scheduled for Thursday, July 20 at 2:30 pm in Ballroom 20.

Grace Park, who played evil Cylon Boomer and her friendlier counterpart Athena, is among the cast members set to attend the comic-con Battlestar Galactica panel.

So far attendees include creator Ron Moore and cast members Tricia Helfer (Number Six), Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck), Mary McDonnell (President Roslin) and Grace Park (Boomer). While these are the only guests confirmed, it’s possible more will be announced soon.

BSG was a modern, gritty remake of the 1978 sci-fi series of the same name. It revolved around a scrappy group of humans on the run from evil cyborgs called Cylons, whose only plan was to destroy humanity.

The show received acclaim for its grounded, human approach to a space drama. The series’ storylines often offered commentary on the politics of safety vs freedom.

Are you excited about the BSG reunion? Will you add the panel to your must see list?
