As seen in Luke Cage’s first season, the love story concerning Luke and Jessica Jones seems to have the heroes on separate paths. While he’s lamenting the coffee he has yet to have with Claire Temple (though we don’t know what The Defenders has in store), Jessica appears to have moved on as well. Such is the implication based on set photos that have emerged from filming of Jessica Jones Season 2. You can check out the images below (via Heroic Hollywood).

The identity of Jessica’s mystery man is unknown. He could be superhuman, and/or he could be a foe of sorts. Details probably won’t begin to surface for quite some time, as Season 2 of the show isn’t dropping until 2018.

Thankfully, plenty more of Krysten Ritter’s take on Jessica Jones will arrive next month. She’ll be joined by Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist and more when The Defenders begins streaming on Netflix come August 18.
