Reportedly, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ and ‘Han Solo’ Won’t Have a Panel at SDCC

San Diego Comic-Con International is just around the corner, but it seems Star Wars’ movies won’t be part of it.

According to An Englishman In San Diego, who received an email from Lucasfilm Publicity, and to SDConCast, who had a Podcats with one of the writers of i09, both Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Han Solo’s Anthology (with no official name yet) won’t have a panel at SDCC.

This doesn’t mean Star Wars won’t have presence at the Convention, since the organization has indicated both films will be at the convention floor, focusing on their booth and panels for Star Wars toys, books, and more.

This news is not that surprising since Disney-D23 Expo will happen before SDCC (from July 14^th to the 16^th), and Disney has announced the presence of live-action films from Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm on Saturday morning (July 15^th).

Besides, with all that’s happening with Han Solo’s film maybe now it’s not a good time to show anything.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to premiere this December, while Han Solo’s film will be coming to theaters next year.

There will be a lot to say about the portrayal of Han in his Solo movie. I think Disney is playing it safe but also giving Ron Howard some room to work. If scenes are cut from the trailer or re-shot…it gives the wrong impression.
