Marvel has Talked About Having Captain Britain in MCU
Avengers: Infinity War will be the 19th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It also signifies the culmination of a plan 10 years in the making. In the film, all the heroes will unite against their common enemy Thanos. Keep in mind that plot is just a guess based on what we’ve seen from the other films.
With so many heroes to keep track of already, it seems crazy that Marvel Studios would think about adding more, however, while promoting Spider-Man: Homecoming, studio president Kevin Feige recently admitted there have been discussions about bringing Captain Britain into the MCU.
“We have discussed it,” Feige told HeyUGuys. “There are a lot of actors that come in and ask about that part, so we’ll have to see.”
As a reminder, Captain Britain was created to be the English counterpart to Captain America. He was granted his powers by Merlin following a motorcycle accident. Those powers include superhuman strength, flight, enhanced reflexes and senses.
Captain Britain has been a member of the Avengers, but has also been in the X-Men universe with Excalibur.
If Marvel really wants to put him in the MCU, could this be another Quicksilver situation where he could also appear in X-Men films?
