Today, The Hollywood Reporter share some interesting news about Venom.

While talking about Spider-Man: Homecoming about how Marvel and Sony came to an agreement to have the character in the MCU and what it feels like to have him on the shared universe, the article revealed an interesting detail about the spinoff focussing on Venom.

Apparently, the movie will also have the cinematographic debut of another Spider-Man villain: Cletus Kassidy, better known as Carnage.

It was not specified who will played him or if castings have been made, but it’s an interesting idea to have two symbiotes in one movie.

The article also said that, while Holland’s contract doesn’t mention the spinoffs, Sony hopes to see him in them.

“There’s a chance,” Amy Pascal, producer and chairperson at Sony, said in a junket interview. “I think one of the things that Kevin has done with Marvel that’s so brilliant is by bringing the fans along and making each movie seem like a chapter in a book that you have to read that chapter in order to go forward, and I think the investment that the fans get to feel in being part of a larger story and understanding what’s happening is something that I know Sony would want to emulate.”

Back in May we found out Tom Hardy will star the movie as Eddie Brock, the most popular incarnation of Venom. Production is set to begin this fall, with director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland and Gangster Squad) in charge of the project.
