The upcoming X-Men spinoff New Mutants cast keeps getting bigger and bigger! Now, thanks to Omega Underground, we have reason to believe a young version of Anya Taylor-Joy’s Illyana aka Magik will appear in the movie. It looks like Magik will play a principal role in the film. Check out the casting call for young Magik below.

YOUNG ANNA – Female, 9 – 12; preferably blonde, or willing to temporary color; Russian accent or Russian language skills.

It doesn’t end there! Another character on the casting call looks like it could be Karma, Armor or even Lady Deathstrike who appeared in X2. The call asks for a young asian woman to play a major role in the new movie. Here’s what we got:

YOUNG FEMALE – 18 to 22 years old; Asian

Scheduled to shoot in MA for one or more days between 7/20 and 8/16.

Now Karma has the ability to take possession of the minds of other people or animals. She projects a psionic energy surge that overwhelms the consciousness of another. Armor on the other hand an create and generate an enormously strong and impenetrable dark red-colored psionic exoskeleton body armor that grants her superhuman strength, reflexes, stamina, endurance, agility, dexterity, and durability.

I for one would be down to see one of the new characters added into the franchise rather than another incarnation of a character we’ve already seen (something Fox just LOVES to do).
