If you ask even a casual geek about last week’s E3 conference, they’d definitely say that one of the most exciting announcements was the upcoming Spider-Man video game produced by Sony Entertainment and Insomniac Games.

After teasing fans with nearly ten minutes of impressive gameplay that features Peter Parker battling against classic members of his rogue gallery, and even a special cameo by Miles Morales, the game is already predicted to be Marvel’s best one yet.

However, there is one new element of the game that fans don’t seem excited about: the suit. While it does feature the character’s classic blue and red color scheme, it also includes a large white spider symbol on the front and back of the suit that also partially run down his forearms and become finger stripes.

Admittedly, this is the newest deviation in a long history of different costumes for Spider-Man, yet some fans have been very vocal in their displeasure of this latest change.

To soothe these concerns, Insomniac Games has taken to social media and has revealed that players will have an assortment of suits to choose from throughout the game.

At the same time, fans won’t seem to be able to abandon the new suit entirely. According to another tweet from the game developer, the white logo will be significant to the game’s overall plot:

The Spider-Man video game will swing onto PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro sometime in 2018. If you haven’t already, check out the kickass game trailer below and tell us what you think!
