COMICS: Marvel Legacy #1 Promises To Showcase The True First Avengers From 1,000,000 BC

From the powerhouse coupling of Jason Aaron (The Mighty Thor) and Esad Ribic (Uncanny X-Force) comes the title Marvel Legacy, a Rebirth-esque story path to reboot the Marvel Universe! And, as the first details filter in, it sounds as if the 616 universe is already getting a page-one rewrite as it has been revealed to the audience and comic fans at large that we will be witnessing a brand-new Avengers team!

But , it will be no ordinary group, this team will apparently be the very first iteration of the Avengers….. In 1,000,000 BC!

The team will be comprised of the heroes who first took on the mantle of their future counterparts and will include: Odin Borson, Iron Fist, Star Brand, Ghost Rider, Phoenix, Agamotto (the first “Sorcerer Supreme”), and Black Panther which will be utilized as devices to showcase Marvel’s (new) past.

When speaking of this Marvel Mega Prospect, Tom Brevoort had this to say:

“Marvel Legacy #1 isn’t simply a history lesson. Rather, it’s the starting gun to a bevy of mysteries, secrets and revelations that will reverberate across the Marvel Universe in the weeks and months to come! No character, no franchise will be untouched by the game-changing events that play out across its pages. Jason and Esad pull all stops to fat-pack this issue with as much intrigue, action, surprise, mystery, shock and adventure as possible”

The creators along with Trevor Brevoort also confirm that the first issue will feature appearances from almost every Marvel character and that the book leads to the return of one of Marvel’s biggest icons! Who? They won’t say….. It’s totally the OG Wolverine or Fantastic Four.
