Armie Hammer Speaks About Dwayne Johnson’s Request For Him to play Shazam
Dwayne Johnson is one of the most prominent members of the DCEU to not yet have been featured in a film. Johnson was cast as the villain back in 2014, but his counterpart, Shazam, has not yet been chosen. However, that could be changing soon. Last month Dwayne Johnson offered up one name for who he would like to see play Shazam, and that was none other than Armie Hammer.
Recently Cinema Blend caught up with the actor and asked him what he thought about Dwayne Johnson’s request for him to appear as Shazam. Here’s what he had to say:
“Dude, so Dwayne said that thing and literally blew up my social media. I couldn’t even open my Instagram. I thought my phone was gonna melt. But other than that no one’s said anything. Yeah… I’m keeping my options open.”
This response does not give us the definitive answer we have all hoped for, but it does seem like Hammer would be up to the task if offered to him.
