The Evil Within 2 Leaks Ahead of Bethesda’s E3 Conference
Rumors regarding Bethesda’s The Evil Within from Resident Evil lead, Shinji Mikami, have been circling for quite some time. Fans of the survival horror title are hungry for more of the eerie world and compelling gameplay loop. As such, it was only a matter of time before the publisher announced Tango Gameworks had a sequel on the way. And E3 is as good a time as any to make such an announcement. It seems, though, that the cat is already out of the bag, courtesy of an ad recently posted on Reddit.
Ahead of Bethesda’s conference, an ad marketing The Evil Within 2 appeared on Reddit, saying pre-orders for the sequel are available. At the time of writing, this is false. According to PC Gamer, the ad is no longer up. However, before allegedly being removed, it appeared as follows: “Bethesda returns you to the nightmare in The Evil Within 2. Now available for preorder. How will you survive?”

Another ad was spotted by Gematsu. The publication says the ad read: “From survival horror mastermind Shinji Mikami comes The Evil Within 2. Now available for preorder. ‘The only way out is in.'” This confirms Mikami’s return, which will no doubt instill confidence in the project going forward, especially after the original launched in 2014 to much praise.
For further information, patiently awaiting Bethesda’s June 11, E3 presser at 9 p.m PDT is a must. Hopefully, the publisher has several surprises up its sleeve… one of which may include the long-rumored reveal of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. What do you hope to see at the publisher’s conference? Let us know in the comments below.
