Life Is Strange Prequel Revealed on Xbox’s E3 Stage

Life is Strange took the industry by storm when it launched in early 2015. Needless to say, the episodic series from Remember Me developer, Dontnod, didn’t sit too comforatably on anyone’s radar. Of course, that all changed once episode one went live. Even through clunky mechanics and questionable dialogue, Life is Strange managed to tell an immersive tale, woven almost effortlessly through the power of friendship between two teen girls. A follow up has been long anticipated and endlessly rumored. On the Xbox E3 stage, the prequel was finally revealed. Check out the first official trailer below:

The prequel follows Chloe’s story prior to Max’s return to Arcadia Bay in the original series. Rachel’s story is getting further exploration as well, something the first Life is Strange episodes lacked.

Speaking of the original lead, it remains to be seen if Max Caulfield will make an appearance. We’ll know soon enough, as Life is Strange: Before the Storm launches the first of its three episodes on August 31 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

Interestingly, Dontnod isn’t attached to this outing of the series (Deck Nine Games is at the helm). Apparently, the series’ original studio is hard at work on a sequel. What questions do you hope get answered in the prequel, and what do you want to see in Dontnod’s sequel? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
