Cloak & Dagger Reportedly to Continue Filming Next Month

Not only Netflix has an association with Marvel; Freeform will expand their television network with Cloak & Dagger and New Warriors.

Back in February it was announced that the production and filming of the pilot episode had begun. We already have a trailer with footage of the pilot, but no more news about when production will start for the rest of the episodes, which have been reported to be nine more.

Since Freeform and Marvel have planned an early 2018 release, production must start soon. And according to a report, that should resume next month.

Today, Production Weekly ‘s listing (the list of all the series that are on production and it’s start day) showed us ““Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger 02.” Usually the 02 means the that production of season 02 is what is listed, but unless Freeform managed to film what was left of season 1 in secret these past few months, we can assume they are talking about the nine episodes left for season one of Cloak & Dagger.

The filming is said to take place until October, so in the next four moths it’s not unlikely we hear more news about casts of the supporting characters and the name of other directors of the show (is normal for a tv series to have more than one director).

Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees) directed the pilot, but with her busy schedule, she’s set to direct the movie Silver and Black, the movie of Silver Sable and Black Cat for Sony’s Spiderverse.

Cloak & Dagger is expected to premiere early 2018 on Freeform.
