‘Wonder Woman’ Takes Home Top Prize at the Golden Trailer Awards
Technically, Awards Season hasn’t started but Wonder Woman was a huge hit at the Golden Trailer Awards which honors the best in motion picture previews, in Beverley Hills on Tuesday night.
Wonder Woman picked up the best in show prize, as well as the award for best fantasy/adventure trailer. Open Road Entertainment and the AV Squad were honored for the “What She Is” trailer. In total, Warner Bros. walked away with 26 awards, including a few for the Lego Batman.
The award show was hosted by Wayne Brady and the winners were picked by a jury that included Kenneth Branagh, Matthew Modine and David Cross.

The wins at the Golden Trailer Awards come fresh off the film being a critical and box office success after its official release last weekend. Wonder Woman currently boasts the title of ‘Certified Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes with a 93% rating.
The film’s director, Patty Jenkins, also set a new record last weekend for best box office opening by a female filmmaker and became the third-highest opening for a DC film after The Dark Knight Rises.
