Sofia Boutella will be seen in theaters all across the world beginning Friday as she stars opposite Tom Cruise in The Mummy but she has landed a new gig with HBO Films to co-star in Fahrenheit 451.
The film is based on the Ray Bradbury novel of the same name and also features Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon in lead roles.
The classic 1953 novel is set in a futuristic America where books are banned and burned by “firemen”. Boutella will play Clarisse, an informant who is caught between Montag (Jordan), a young fireman and his former mentor, Beatty (Shannon).
Ramin Bahrani will direct the movie with Jordan serving as executive producer with his company Outlier Productions.
Boutella is set to appear in Atomic Blonde with Charlize Theron this July and her previous film credits include: Star Trek Beyond, Street Dance 2, and Kingsman: The Secret Service, alongside Colin Firth and Samuel L. Jackson.
Don’t forget to check out Boutella as the fearsome mummy, Ahmanet, this Friday when The Mummy hits the big screen.
